Our Beliefs & Core Values

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and is the sole authority in determining the faith and practice of God’s people. The Bible reveals all that is necessary for us to know of God’s plan of redemption and human duty.

We believe in one true living God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. We believe that God is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable.

We believe that the Godhead exists in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – and that these three are one God.

We believe that Jesus Christ was both God and man in the flesh. He was born of the Virgin Mary, given to reveal God, died to redeem man, rose from the dead to justify the believer, and is now at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate and Intercessor. He will return visibly, personally, and bodily for the final triumph of His people and judgment of the world.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. He is a person, not a mere influence, who has been sent from God to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He regenerates, teaches, and guides the believer in all things pertaining to life.

We believe that all men are born sinners and are by nature children of wrath. Therefore, all men are in need of salvation.

We believe that God provided the means of salvation to all men by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that salvation comes by an individual confession of faith in Him.

We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that sin can interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his heavenly Father.

We believe that the greatest duty of Christ’s people is to give the whole gospel to the world without regards to race, creed, or color. We believe that it should be the goal of every Christian to become a disciple of Christ by growing towards spiritual maturity. This is accomplished through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit, Who indwells, baptizes, and seals all believers at the moment of salvation.

We believe that every true Christian should be a ministering member of a local church since this is God’s primary context for spiritual development and community impact.

Our Core Values

Worship

The church corporately and individually, worships and exalts God for His goodness and His mercy. We give Him thanks for His most precious gift (John 4:24; Psalm 95; Psalm 100).

Fellowship

The church is a spiritual community that provides support, encouragement, fellowship, and accountability (Hebrews 10:24-25; Philippians 2:3-4; Galatians 6:1-2, Matthew 18:15-20).

Discipleship

Each believer should desire to learn the Word and apply it to daily living (2 Tim. 3:16,17; 2 Timothy 2:15). The aim of applying the Word is growth: moving from infancy into adulthood (2 Peter 2:2).

Ministry

Use of one’s gifts, talents and time to serve others. The believer accomplishes this through faithful participation in an area of church ministry. (I Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 4:11-16).
